hey guys. I bought a boomba throttle body for my 2005 evo 8 in 2010. I was very pleased with the quality and craftsmanship of the piece and installed it as soon as I got it. I loved the feel of the pedal and it has performed with no issues.
I do have a question. I live in California, and I failed smog due to no carb/ eo numbers on the piece. I understand that this is more of a racing product, but it was great for daily driving as well. I was curious if you guys are carb certified or have any information about that. I have switched back to the original t/b to pass smog, but I love the boomba one, and it seems that it is a waste to have to let it sit. I can swap it in and out for the tests, but would like to just keep it on full time. if not, I will just swap or let it sit. thanks for your time guys. it is a really great piece of worksmanship.
